Request data deletion

1. Who this is for

This page explains how to request deletion of personal data processed by PositionMySite in connection with:

• Our marketing website (positionmysite.ca), including contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, or similar interactions.
• SEO Site Signals (subscription product at tools.positionmysite.com).
• Client or project work where we hold your business contact details or project-related personal information.

We do not use this page as an automated “callback” from third-party platforms. If you signed in with a social account or an ad platform collected data separately, you may also need to use that company’s privacy tools—we explain that below.

2. How to request deletion (primary method)

Send an email to [email protected] with the following so we can find and verify your request:

• Subject line: Data request — deletion
• Your full name and the email address you used with us (or the one we may have on file).
• A short description of your relationship with us (e.g., “SEO Site Signals subscriber,” “submitted contact form in 2026,” “client of PositionMySite”).
• Explicit confirmation that you want us to erase personal data we hold about you, except where we must retain information by law.

We will confirm receipt and may ask for reasonable identity verification before deleting data. We aim to respond within 30 days (or sooner where applicable law requires).

3. What we delete and what we may keep

When your request is approved, we delete or anonymize personal data we no longer need, such as profile and contact details, marketing preferences, and product usage tied to your identity where technically feasible.

We may retain certain information where required or permitted by law, for example:

• Invoices, payment records, and tax-related documentation for statutory retention periods.
• Minimal records needed to enforce our agreements, resolve disputes, or detect fraud.
• Aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify you.

4. Third-party platforms

Deleting data from PositionMySite does not automatically delete data held by third parties (for example advertising networks, analytics providers, or social platforms). Those companies have their own retention and deletion processes. For Meta (Facebook / Instagram) account and ad data, see Meta’s help and privacy settings.

5. Other privacy rights
